Wallkill River School of Art is Orange County’s first homegrown arts movement, the first arts organization with an agricultural component. They identified early on that their fate is intimately tied to our local farms, historic sites and open spaces. Like the famous mid-19th century Hudson River School landscape artists, they use art to raise awareness about our important regional treasures.
The Wallkill River School asked T+ P Advertising to create a memorable ad campaign that uses people who have made a difference – for the art school and for the entire community. The ad campaign features patrons, emerging artists, jazz singers, community leaders and savant children who love this wonderful art school.
The very first day the campaign was posted on the Wallkill River School Facebook page, we received many emails and messages. Derrik Wynkoop, the subject of our first ad, forwarded a message from one of his Walden Savings Bank customers: ” I felt compelled to text you upon seeing the artistic picture of you for the Wallkill River School of Art. It is truly magnificent the way you were captured and the use of light. Bravo!” And, Derrik added, “Facebook is blowing up my bank email with the campaign. You should be very proud of your work. Cheers!”
